“Grandpa Dave”

Our beloved husband, father, grandpa, son and brother David Merlyn Meldrum passed away on December 2, 2008 after a valiant battle with MS and complications. David was born December 12, 1952 in Provo, Utah to Merlyn S. & Marilyn Kilpack Meldrum. He married his high school sweetheart, Roberta Fowles in the Salt Lake Temple on August 10, 1972. The only thing better than being with his own family was being with his grandchildren. He served in the Army Reserve, worked for the Sandy Fire Department, and Meldrum Scale Co.

David is survived by his wife Roberta, children Amie (Roger) Berg, & Ben Meldrum, 8 grandchildren ages 2 ½ to 17; Taylor, Cody & Brooklyn Berg, Whitney & Gabe Koelliker, McKenzie, Hailey & Alexis Meldrum, parents, 4 brothers; Randy (Charlotte) Meldrum, Jeff (Jaylyn) Meldrum, Doug (Tamara) Meldrum, Kelly (Kiersten) Meldrum, & sister-in-law Celia Meldrum. Preceded in death by his son Brent and brother Mike.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Fort Herriman 1^st Ward, 4570 W. 12900 So. Friend may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Broomhead Funeral Home 12600 So. 2200 W. and Monday one hour prior at the church. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been set up at any Mountain America Credit Union under his name.
