Wayne R. Madsen

1922 – 2009

Our beloved father and grandfather, Wayne R. Madsen passed away in his home on June 26, 2009 of natural causes surrounded by his family. Wayne was born March 4, 1922 in Manti, Utah to David O. & Lillian Roberts Madsen. He married Marian Sorensen on June 1, 1944 in Mayfield, Utah. Marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She preceded him in death.

Wayne owned and operated Wayne Madsen Automotive for many years and was active and well known in the West Jordan community. He was a member of the Pleasure Riders Riding Club. He was an avid hunter, sportsman, and enjoyed camping with his family.

Wayne is survived by his children; David W. (Kristine) Madsen, Robert W. (Jacque) Madsen, Marilyn (Douglas) Speirs, Carolyn (Kraig) Anderson and Arlene (Ron) Moser, 18 grandchildren, 44 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at the Broomhead Funeral Home 12600 So. 2200 W. at 11 a.m. where friends may call Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday 1 hour prior. Interment West Jordan Cemetery.
