
Margaret Vera Gilbert Gillett
Together Again
RIVERTON-Our loving mother, grandmother, and dear friend, Margaret Gillett, 87, passed away July 18, 2010, in St. Marks Hospital after a long illness.
Born June 12, 1923 in Riverton, Utah to Albert Gilbert and Johanna Sybrowsky Gilbert. Married Warren Harding Gillett September 9, 1946 in Elko, Nevada. Marriage later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.
Margaret was an active member of the LDS Church. Prior to her illness she was the greatest example of what a Visiting Teacher should be. She enjoyed doing crafts, embroidery, and painting. She was a Navy nurse during World War II.
Survived by her son Gerald Gilbert Gillett and his wife, Lucy; daughter, Marcia Ann Barrett and her husband, Mike; grandchildren Donald Warren Gillett and Patricia Oliphant, and her great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Golden, Melvin, Wesley (Bob), Dean, Donna, Elaine, Jean, Grace, Eunice, Nancy, and Darlene. She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren, parents, and brothers, George and Norman.
The family would like to thank Envision Home Healthcare nurses for their sweet service to Mom, and her friends at South Mountain Dialysis. We would also like to thank all the doctors and nurses in the Critical Care Unit at St. Marks Hospital for their kindness and good care for our mother.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 23, at 1:00 p.m. in the Riverton 10th Ward, 12830 South 2700 West, Riverton. Friends may call Thursday, July 22, from 6-8 p.m. at the Broomhead Funeral Home, 12600 South 2200 West, and Friday one hour prior at the Church. Interment in the Riverton Cemetery.
