Dear Evonna and Family,
I wanted to express my deepest sympathy and concern for you and also share with you that death isn’t the end. This is evident in the Bible in Scriptures like John 11 verses 11-14, 39, 43, where Jesus, upon learning of his friend Lazarus’s death when he was on earth, said to those who were with him at the time: “Lazarus has fallen asleep I’m going to awaken him.” To demonstrate to those who were with him that the dead are truly and simply sleeping till the last day when the resurrection will take place, Jesus went to the grave, where Lazarus was already buried for four days and called him, and surely enough Lazarus came out alive and well. What Jesus did then, will happen again when the resurrection starts in the last day when as appointed King, he rules /governs the earth by means of God’s Kingdom. (Daniel 2: verse 44); (Daniel 7: verses 13 and 14); (Revelation/Apocalypse 20:6), We know this because Jesus himself promises in John 5 verses 28 that at that time he will indeed call everyone who’s in the grave to come out and they will. Imagine being able to reunite with our dead loved ones with the prospect of never losing them to death again! What a time that will be! These promises are not mere dreams. They harmonize with Jehovah God's will. Which is why Apocalypse 21 verses 3 to 5 says: "And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them, and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away." And He who sits on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new." And He said, "Write, for these words are faithful and true." So as you trust in these promises and await Monty’s resurrection, please heed Jesus’ invitation in John 17: 3 and take steps to gain accurate knowledge of Jehovah and Jesus through a Bible study with the Witnesses. In John 5 verse 39, Jesus explains that such study is imperative for anyone who wishes to have endless life one day here on earth, which will be transformed into a paradise where you can be re-united with your dead loved ones again under wonderful conditions like we’ve never known before as stated in the following Scriptures (Ps 37: 9-11 and 29), (Psalms 46: 8 and 9), (Isaiah 33:24), (Job: 33:25). |
